A thought on newspapers
I am trying to convince my bosses to get subscriptions to all the big newspapers and magazines so a) I can actually do research properly and access stories more than 24 hours old and b) to support print media (of course.) The problem? It’s impossible to find the subscription forms and prices without getting lost in their websites. I’m really annoyed with this. Print is in decline: the least you can do is make the subscription form visible, noticeable, and easily accessible.

1. I’m really happy the New York Times is going to start charging. I have never been so eager to pay for something in my life. And I can’t wait to live in the same place for a year to I can subscribe on paper.
2. Magazine and newspaper subscriptions are really cheap! I was talking to my boyfriend about this and we calculated that one issue of the New Yorker provides at least 4-5 hours of quality reading time - which you can purchase for 40 dollars a year. I currently pay over 100 dollars for mine because I’m in Europe but it’s completely worth it; I’d happily shell out up to 300 dollars for a year of New Yorker magazines, and I’m permanently broke.
Up to how much would you pay for your favorite magazines or newspapers?
